Talk:1995 Tolkien Calendar

Are we sure this is a fanwork, and not a professional one? I know things can get a little fuzzy with artists, but this illustrator, John Howe, has worked officially with the tolkien estate and some of the films. So, I'm wondering how we know this is a fan-creation?

Also, I found an entry about this calendar on his website https://www.john-howe.com/portfolio/gallery/details.php?image_id=962 which unfortunately does not give details around its creation -- Kingstoken (talk) 11:47, 25 November 2024 (UTC)

I'm really not sure. Since you said that, yeah, there's a good chance it is pro. I believe I came across it being listed alongside fanworks, but since the page on his site lists HarperCollins, it's probably licensed. I'll delete the page if there's nothing suggesting it's fannish that you can find. I can't find the way I got to it now. Sobqjmv sphinx (talk) 02:43, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
