TakaFuji is a minor but enduring pair in Prince of Tennis fandom.

Canon

Both characters have hidden sides that contrast with their mild outward appearance: Fuji is noted in canon to be a sadist, and Taka-san has an alternate personality called "Burning Mode" that unlocks when he holds a tennis racket.

Fandom

The ship is usually depicted as a fluffy one in which Fuji's respect and fondness for Taka-san reveals a gentle kindness, with less of the usual teasing behavior he shows towards his friends.

TakaFuji is generally less popular than other Fuji pairings, but is probably the most popular ship involving Kawamura Takashi. Their seiyuu sometimes release in-character music together, because their names make up two of the three lucky things traditionally seen as the first dream of the new year: Taka, a hawk, and Mt. Fuji. The third item is nasu, an eggplant, leading to their duo's official name, Nasu. The ship has a small but dedicated fandom.

Unlike other ships in English-speaking PoT fandom, TakaFuji is known primarily by its portmanteau name rather than by its Pair name, which has never been fully settled between the two options of Kindness Pair and Nasu Pair.
