Undressing refers to the act of removing your clothes, either alone or with some kind of help. This type of activity is addressed in both fandom and canon, and can have different types of connotations, from helping a wounded character, to sexually.
It's often used for fanservice and frequently appears as prompt in fanweeks and other challenges.
Taking off one's shirt is one of the most common undressing that has, being relatively known as part of certain plots such as hot guy doing menial work, who removes his shirt to dry himself, Jacob Black taking his shirt off all the time in New Moon (fanservice), character from some action or adventure media, like anime and etc. One of the most famous forms in the sexual connotation of the act is the stripping and striptease, part or not of Sex Works.
Games/challenges like Strip Poker and Truth or dare are also popular tropes in fanworks. In the first case a bunch of characters play poker, and the losers in every round have to remove a piece of clothing. Normally the one that is considered the smartest one remains with all their clothes on while the rest are in different stages of nudity or completely naked. For the second case, characters may be challenged to take their clothes off. Often there are drinks involved.
The Harry Potter fandom has a fanon spell named Divesto. Which takes people's clothes off, and is often used in fanon as a sex spell that few know about.
Strip Game Meme
A popular meme on Twitter. An artist posts a fanart of a character with a series of requirements in likes, retweets and sometimes also comments. When the post meets the requirements, the artist uploads another fanart of the same character with one less item of clothing and more requirements for the next item of clothing. The game goes on until the character is completely naked. Sometimes he stipulates a deadline, and starts to undress the character creating avid followers for the moment of revealing the nudity of that character in question, a very famous example was Grandpa Max from Ben 10.
