Reactions and Reviews
I'm not sure why seeing the Kirk/Spock relationship through the eyes of a crewmember appeals to me but it always seems to give a fresh new look to everything. This time ifs a redshirt, who has the fortunate/unfortunate experience of witnessing the effects of aphrodisiacs on the command team. This crewman is very accepting of the idea his commanding officers are a couple, but gets much more than he bargains for on this mission. He even gets to "sub" for Kirk as a powerful drug introduced at a banquet releases the First Officer's inhibitions while inducing an apparent inability to recognize his lover. I found this implausible to say the least, but it wasn't a big problem getting past it. The right guy wound up in Spock's bed in the end, so what the heck! [1]
