darkling, best known by her Livejournal handle snapesdarkling,[1] is an Australian Harry Potter fan and Snarry writer.
Her LJ profile stated in 2005:
I am mad about Snape/Harry slash. Simply can't get enough of it. I am an oldie who writes slash smut just because she can. I like kink, BDSM, Non-con, and angst with lots of hurt/comfort thrown in for good measure. Oh and I can take a good bit of slushy romance at times too. My fics are usually non canon but not so much that the characters are unrecognisable. If canon fic is what you crave, please look elsewhere.My major squick is MPREG and I hate Ron/Harry fics [just hate 'em. can't bloody stand 'em] and most het fic [why bother?] Just about anything else is peachy.[2]
Her website, Odi Et Amo, hosted her fic as well as a HP/SS fuh-q-fest with responses by Rogue and Aucta Sinistra.[3] Adult-rated fics were password protected.
She friendslocked her journal in 2005 and subsequently deleted it. She rejoined LJ in June 2006 as purewhitesnake.[4] She stated that she would "perhaps" start writing Snarry again in the future[5] and shared a "trial" post-Deathly Hallows ficlet in January 2008.[4]

I just finished reading "Dungeon" by snapesdarkling. WOW... just WOW! It's a wonderful written story (as far as I can judge it) and darkling managed to write another awful good romance/angst fic. Since I read this fic on her website, I don't know if you can find it also on her lj.With "A thoughtful Gift" and its sequel, darkling managed to catch one of my greatest kinks. Harry has been kidnapped by the evil Slytherins and was given as a surprise (bound and helpless) to their even much so evil head of house. Snake Snape. The story is written as correspondence. One letter from the naughty Slytherins to inform Snape of the waiting gift, and (in the sequel) a letter back from Snape to express his thanks for this very thoughtful gift. He has manners after all. *grin*
The "Scene from a War" series is also something I would like to recommend every time. This fics are a little bit more complex and they fit just right for a long evening full of snarry goodness.
I love her works. If you have never read one of her stories, go ahead and read one or another. It is definitely worth a try.
