Some Excerpts

Why did you choose your pen name?

Because I love Amidala, and the name was a little more unusual than just using something like Amidala1978 or padme1 or something

When did you start writing fanfiction?

December 1999. I discovered SW fanfic after watching TPM that summer, and by the end of the year, was writing it myself.

Would you agree that fanfiction is a genre dominated by women, and if so, why do you think it's so?

I don't know that I'd say dominated – I know many guys who authors. But there are clearly many women who are writing, especially when you consider that SW, and sci-fi/fantasy in general, are considered to have more guys than girls in their fandom. As for why that is so, I've never really found a good answer. Women's reasons for writing are fairly diverse.
