Why did you choose your pen name?
It's not a very exciting story. My roommate was trying to get me set up for AOL instant messaging (I was technologically behind the times), and through the course of my reluctance we decided my screenname should be some derivative of the word "silent". I was and still am a bad lurker, so I simply transferred the name "silenous" (with the added "Darth" term, as Darth Vader is my favorite character) to all of my other accounts.
Would you agree that fanfiction is a genre dominated by women, and if so, why do you think it's so?
I wouldn't say so. I think the genre is pretty much a close fifty-fifty between the sexes -- I read works by both males and females indiscriminately.
This is a site devoted to antagonists. Could you reveal us your favourite Mr. Bad Guy?
With pleasure. Of them all, Darth Vader will always hold a place close to my heart – but not *just* because he's "bad". ;) One of the great qualities about Vader is that he comes back and is redeemed. To me, that makes all the difference, and adds alot of dimension to his character.
