Reactions and Reviews
Visiting Vulcans aboard the Enterprise—a bonded pair, no less—create some unforgettable moments. These are Vulcans trained in a new approach to diplomacy: when in Rome, do as the Romans. When among humans who are demonstrative, be demonstrative. This is fine until a demonstrative Vulcan punctuates his speech to Kirk with a hand on the human's shoulder. Spock's thoughts are that Sabir actually placed a hand on HIS Captain's shoulder. Isn't that use of a possessive pronoun priceless? This is a quick-thinking Spock—one who isn't going to let anyone get ahead of him. The whole thing doesn't exactly follow a logical course, but is truly enjoyable all the same. [1]
