See-through is a term used when the paper of a printed zine is too thin, allowing the reader to see the print on the other side of the sheet.
Examples
This review of Grup Issue #4 (1975):
[zine]:...Artwork in this issue suffers greatly from spotty offset printing (or is it bad mimeo?) and severe see-through (when the paper is too thin, you can see the print on the other side of the sheet), and the range of the drawing expertise is a little sad. The centerfold, this ish, is of Chekov, and it's somewhat, er, less than wonderful (which is curious, since the artist, 'Spoon,' has a VERY nice Kirk illo elsewhere in the issue. A bad day, Spoon?).
