Sebastian was just a name given to this demon by Ciel Phantomhive, after his dog. Sebastian made a contract with Ciel; he would serve and protect Ciel until revenge was served, and then consume Ciel's soul.
Fandom
In a multi-fandom poll with 184 voters, Sebastian was deemed the biggest slut[1] with a close runner-up being Howl Pendragon of Howl's Moving Castle.
Occasionally fans see Sebastian as a father figure to Ciel Phantomhive, and has been referred to as Dadbastian[2], Mombastian, and Sebadad. Which makes the headcanon that Sebastian would wear a sweatshirt with 'World's Sluttiest Dad' on it very fitting[3]. Their relationship is the focus of the show and manga, so it is natural that most of the fan content centers around one, the other, or both of them.
As a demon, not constrained to social constructs, Sebastian's 'gender[4]' may be considered flexible, and pronouns[5] something of very little matter.
Fans love that Sebastian canonically cares for cats[6] a great deal, and often run with that fact[7], creating over-the-top scenarios[8], and exaggerations[9].
