Scott Moffatt (born 1983) is a musician originally from Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. He is best known for his role as lead guitarist and singer for The Moffatts, a band he formed along with his three brothers.
After The Moffatts' breakup, Scott formed a new band called The Boston Post, which released one album. In 2006, he released a solo EP, before following in his twin brothers' footsteps and moving to Thailand to produce music. He has since returned to America, living in Nashville, Tennessee for a while and now in Montreal, Canada, where he continues to write and produce music for himself and others.
During his time abroad, Scott was linked to various Thai women and is now involved with a fellow musician named Iris Campo.[1]
Fanon
Scott Moffatt often shared the frontman role with his brother Dave, but was arguably the edgier of the two (keep in mind, this is coming from a girl who preferred Kevin Richardson over Nick Carter). For me, Scott was right up there with 1998 Leo DiCaprio and early-2000s Josh Hartnett. From his tousled tresses and raspy voice, to his guitar skills and semi-mysterious demeanour, Scott had the bang that groups like Hanson just weren’t bringing.[2]
Scott's overtly sexual onstage persona carried over into the fandom--in fanfic, he was likely to be portrayed as trouble and troubled. His slight lisp provided comic relief at his expense. Fanfic Scott had any number of vices--sex, drugs, alcohol--from a young age, and often struggled with his sexuality and comparisons to Taylor Hanson.
He was also very likely to be slashed with Taylor, the pairing popularized by Devil Angel and often referred to as Scottay. He was also commonly slashed with German musician Gil Ofarim, with whom his band had recorded. It was also not uncommon to see him paired with his own brothers.
