Rachel Elizabeth Dare is a character in the Camp Half-Blood Chronicles. She first makes her appearance in The Titan's Curse, but is formally introduced into the story in The Battle of the Labyrinth.
Canon
Rachel is a clear-sighted mortal, someone who is born with the ability to see through the mist despite being a human. She is a spitfire, and is brave and funny. Because of this Rachel and Percy Jackson become friends, and some sort of romantic interest between the two is implied.
Rachel eventually accepts her duty as the chosen host of the Oracle of Delphi, and effectively friend-zones Percy. As it turns out, Percy ends up getting together with Annabeth Chase by the end of the series anyways. (Percy/Annabeth)
