RWBY Rarepair Week is a fanweek, prompt based, challenge concentrating on rarepair ships in the RWBY fandom. Multiple types of fanworks are accepted including fanfiction, fan art, gif sets and fan edits.
About
Introducing RWBY Rarepair Week, a week in which we celebrate the ships that don’t get as much love as others. Each day will have two prompts (other than our free day) for you to choose from to write, draw, or make some other form of creative work based on the pairing of your choosing.
Rules for 2019!
- So first off, the cutoff: since we’re so close to September 13, it would be kind of shitty if I suddenly changed up the cutoff on what counts as a rarepair for 2019 after people put in so much hard work. Instead, I’m going to posit it as this: ships must be less than 250 works on AO3, but less than 100 fics is preferred.
- No incest. I don’t care if they’re half siblings, step siblings, adoptive siblings, parent/child, aunt/uncle/niece/nephew, etc, nor if it’s an au in which they’re not related. If they’re canonically related and your entry ships them romantically or sexually, then it doesn’t belong here. Likewise, no au’s in which non-related characters are now related but still are shipped together will be allowed either.
- Please no NSFW.
- Please state what your ship is within each entry so I know what to tag it as. A list of various ships can be found here, and a list of the shipnames I have already used for tagging is here
- No bashing of other ships, nor of anyone else’s writing/art/etc.
- Violence and death as well as mild blood, injuries, and body horror will be allowed, but must be tagged. However, explicit gore will not be allowed.
- Tag your entries as #rwbyrarepairweek within the first five tags, as well as @rwbyrarepairweek
