Psycho is a 1960 horror/thriller film directed by Alfred Hitchcock and based on the book of the same title by Robert Bloch. It starts as the story of Marion Crane (Janet Leigh), who has embezzled money from her employer. While escaping, she finds the Bates Motel, owned by a strange young man named Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins) and his mysterious "Mother."
