Poisontaster has been writing fan fiction since at least 2005. She is perhaps best known for her contributions to the Supernatural fandom, having written 160 works in that fandom alone. However, she has also written fan fiction for Alias, Battlestar Galactica: 2003, Firefly, Inside, Lost, and Prison Break.
While the majority of her work appears online, a few of her stories have been published in printed format, including Chains of Babylon, a charity zine, A Supernatural Slash Anthology and Shotguns and Salt-Lines.
Among her notable works are the Every Broken Thing/Heart universe of stories and on ongoing RPF slavefic AU series, A Kept Boy part of her What We Keep universe.
