Oviposition is a story trope or plot device in which a character has eggs, often either those of aliens or monsters, inserted into them. Sometimes, the recipient may lay these eggs or give birth. Oviposition has some overlap with other genres and kinks such as alien kink, tentaclefic, monster fucking, and xeno.
