Nothing Like The Sun is a Buffyverse website that started as kimberly_a's home for her S/X fanfics including the jump!verse. It later became a Spike/Buffy-oriented fan fiction archive. The site also hosted several meta essays on the topics of Spike and Spuffy that were very redemptionist in tone.[1]
I originally created Nothing Like the Sun around 15 June 2002 ... as a nameless section of my personal site, simply as a place to store my fan fiction when FanFiction.net was down (which it often is). Then, one day, FanFiction.net went down ... and stayed down for the count. Well, for a couple weeks, anyway. I was soooooo bored. So I decided to build a real true live website. And ... ta da! Nothing Like the Sun was born.
Since its infancy, Nothing Like the Sun has been built entirely by yours truly (with a bit of help from my husband, Shannon), mostly with hard-coding of html.[2]
