Nancy, also known as Neighbor Nancy, is a fanon-wide original character created by the Once Upon A Time fandom, specifically the Captain Swan subfandom. Initially, her name was used generically in a Tumblr post by ripplestitchskein, but took on a life of her own once other fans began to respond. The character became something of a self aware in-joke to mock the OUAT fandom as a whole, and the sometimes ridiculous arguments that had occurred within.
Being an original meme character, Nancy's life differs as the joke goes on. Sometimes, she is said to be married to Liam Jones, or occasionally Prince Charming's twin brother Prince James. Other times, it would be other original characters.
