My Life Closed Twice is a Buffy/Spike fic by Anaross. Originally posted on Livejournal, the fic was later archived at Elysian Fields and Ao3. In 2016, Anaross announced that she would be taking down this fic, as she intended to rework it as an original work for publication.[1] My Life Closed Twice is no longer available on Ao3.
Post-Not Fade Away. Buffy seeks Spike's remains, but then finds him in the most unusal place.

Spike/Buffy. Post-NFA, Buffy discovers shanshued Spike who teaches poetry in a college. His attempts to lead quiet life are ruined as Buffy Summers enrolls in his class. anaross, who held panels at several Writercons, gives Spike her own job and invites us to visit a creative laboratory of an author and a poet.[2]
It's a post NFA Spuffy reunion story and I love it because it combines excellent plot, writing and voicing with poetry.[3]

...I teach third level and I teach English Lit but this story taught me more than a thing or two and it didn't hurt a bit. I love Spike the poet and this brings Buffy close to that side of him without ever descending into sentiment and mush.[4]
