Muffit is a character in Battlestar Galactica (1978).
The original Muffit was a daggit, a canine-like animal used as a domesticated pet, watch animal, or tracker. All daggits were destroyed by the Cylons.
Muffit was Boxey's pet. In the episode, "Saga of Star World," a scientist builds a robotic daggit and gives it to Boxey to make him feel better about his people being victims of genocide.
