The gen relationship between Mike Ross and Harvey Specter is a huge part of the Suits fandom, no matter the shipping preferences of fans.



No matter the pairing focus of fanworks, fan tend to portray the relationship between Harvey and Mike in a similar way it's written on the show. They have a close relationship and obviously care about each other. They engage in witty banter.

It's not a common practice to tag the gen works with a specific Mike & Harvey tags when submitting fanworks to the archives. Instead, they are often simply tagged with the characters themselves. On FFN specifically, authors will sometimes make a point of noting "No slash" in the fic summaries.

Common Tropes in Fanworks

  • Hurt/Comfort - there is a lot of h/c fics with Mike being the one in need of comfort. This involves both emotional and physical comfort.
