Lindow was an organizer and staffer at many science fiction conventions in Florida. He was staffer at Earthbound in Tampa, Florida, and was involved with Necronomicon for many years. He was also a longstanding member of the Stonehill Science Fiction Association.

He had a passion for writing and reading science fiction that while attending the University of South Florida led him to form the Science Fiction and Literary Association with a group of friends. It was there he met his wife and fellow fan, Ellen Celeste Lindow. Lindow earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Science Education from USF.

He began a career in education and enjoyed having a classroom full of animals his middle school students could touch and get excited about science. When PCs were invented, and Lindow was fascinated. When he had an opportunity to teach the first introductory computer course at the school, he jumped at the chance, even assembling the computer desks and Apple IIe computers himself. He later received a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology and Educational Leadership and worked for the rest of his career providing support for teachers and students.

Throughout his life, Lindow continued to share his love of animals and love of science fiction with his family and community.
