MediaWiki talk:Sidebar
Loving it. It always took me three clicks to get to templates, so it's a great help! --lian 13:48, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
New Pages link?
Any chance we could also, for easier findability/greater usability/more newbier-friendliness get a link to New Pages directly under the Recent Pages link in the sidebar? (Instead of just as it is now semi-hidden in the not all that "Exciting! Must Read!" intro text in the Recent Pages page intro text and buried too deep in the special pages and editing pages pages.) --Sk 01:12, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
- At this point I'm hoping to remove items from the sidebar rather than add more in. The problem is that the more we add, the harder it is for people to find anything in the list at all. Compared to other wikis I've looked at, we have *a lot* of stuff listed, and there's a danger people will just tune it out completely as so much noise. Is there jazzier text we could use for linking to Newpages from the Recent Changes page? Are there other pages that could conceivably link to Newpages?--æþel 01:49, 29 November 2011 (UTC)
