Excerpts
I started writing horrible Sailor Moon Mary Sue fic in the eight grade, which was, heh, ten years ago. I didn't get involved in Fandom until about a year later when I discovered slash, joined the old hp_slash mailing list, and started posting my fic where strangers could read it... I've read more fandoms than I've written, but I've put together a few stories in a few different places: I started with Sailor Moon, moved to Harry Potter and Buffy, and had a brief (but oddly prolific) romance with the WB show Everwood before settling down with SGA these last three years. I've been recently flirting with Heroes and Doctor Who, but I'm not sure if either one is going to turn into a serious, lasting relationship.
[Why do I like SGA?] The easy answer is: Rodney McKay. I only really started watching SGA in the first place because I loved Rodney from his few appearances on SG-1 and thought he was funny and brilliant and I wanted to see more of him. And then I fell in love with the show for being completely adorable and completely ridiculous (whales! warning people about solar flares!) and just the sort of absurd science fiction you need when you've been raised on Star Trek. I love the SGA fandom because you can write a story where, you know, people get super powers from allergies and nobody thinks you're crazy, because everybody's crazy here anyway.
