How long have you been writing fan fiction and/or making fan art and/or whatever else (vids, knitted goods, pornographic gingerbread cookies)?
I've been making up fannish stories since I was 8 years old and desperately in love with Spock. But I've only been writing them down and posting them since December 2002, when I dove head-first into the Buffy fandom.
My fandoms include Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, due South, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, Slings & Arrows, Anita Blake and Angel. [thinks] I'm pretty sure those are not the all the fandoms I've written in, because I'm lousy at keeping track. [says she, who hasn't updated her Web site in two years]
What do you enjoy most about SGA and/or SGA fandom?
SGA fandom is filled with hella good writers who can produce anything from serious stories to seriously cracked-out fic. Also, SGA fen are incredibly welcoming and generous with their feedback. From a fic writer's perspective, the fandom is a dream.
Why do you ship McKay/Sheppard? What draws you to the pairing, what do you like and dislike? Favourite scenes or episodes? Quotes? Screencaps? What other SGA pairings do you ship?
Sheppard and McKay are pretty tight, and most of the time I can see the subtext clearly. What I like, though, is that I can also read them as very good friends and still get a good story out of them. My other favorite pairing is Sheppard/Atlantis, because I think the city completes and grounds Sheppard in a way that no one else ever has.
