Marvel Volume One was a collaborative fanfiction project which began in 1997. It was originally hosted by the AvengersAssemble! website, before it branched off into a large collaborative writing project. Like Alternate Marvel, continuity began after the Onslaught storyline with the heroes defeating Onslaught rather than sacrificing themselves and kicking off the Heroes Reborn storyline.
Each individual series was written by a single writer and prospective writers had to apply to join in. The imprints each had their own individual editors.
