- Spider-Man AU/SpiderMark: A long running joke in the fandom is that Mark would make a good Spider-Man, or dubbed "Spider-Mark" by fans, due to having a similar personality and traits. This is common, to the point that Mark himself is aware, dressing up as Spider-Man for Halloween and preforming a skit of himself being Spider-Man in NCIT House.[1] There are a number of manips relating to Spider-Mark. It has become a common trope in fanfiction and fanart, with Mark often depicted as Spider-Man, either alongside his life as idol or in a complete AU. Inspired by the Spider-Verse films, it is not uncommon for their to be multiverse shenanigans with both Idol!Mark and Spider!Mark coexisting in separate universes. This AU is also popular in Markhyuck fanfiction.
