Marik Ishtar, also known as Malik Ishtar, is an antagonist of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series.

Sometimes in fanworks made in the 2000s, Marik is referred to as Hikari by Yami Marik and other characters, sharing this nickname with Yugi Moto and Ryou Bakura; this is inspired by the american dub calling the spirits from the Millenium Itens Yami, meaning Dark in japanese, with Hikari meaning Light.
