Kuwata x Mioda, most known as Leobuki and/or Base Guitar, is a rarepair within Dangan Ronpa fandom. The ship is between Leon Kuwata and Ibuki Mioda. While Mioda is a prominent character within the series, Kuwata only played a major part in Dangan Ronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and its adaptations. It has been shipped since Dangan Ronpa 2: Goodbye Despair was released in 2012.
The relationship is often gen more than it is romantic, since the two may bond over similar hobbies and fashion styles like friends. Although the idea of a friendship between these two is almost completely fanon, since they do not meet in canon, even fans who do not ship Kuwata x Mioda often like the idea that they would be friends had they met.
While Kuwata wishes he was a musician, Mioda is one. Both can relate over wanting to abandon what they know in terms of talent, (Mioda persued death metal, Kuwata wants to give up baseball.)
