Kirk Enslaved is a K/S 22" x 29" poster by Gayle F.
The poster was advertised, along with Kirk/Spock Erotic Paper Dolls, in Scuttlebutt #8 (July 1978) as well as in the first issue of Datazine (early 1980).
Original cost of the accompanying paper dolls was $4. Cost of the dolls and the poster together was $8.
In 1982 at Scottish con Shore Con's charity auction, this poster sold for £13. Someone who was there said:
The event was much enlivened by the techniques of the joint auctioneers (whose names I regret I did not discover). Undoubtedly the best way to up the price of a [Gayle F] poster is to unwrap it during the bidding...slowly! [1]
Description
"A K/S erotic poster... this pen and ink original features Spock as a S'Kandarai warrior and Kirk as his human captive, embracing in a lavish and intricate setting of barbaric splendor."
The illo for Leopard in the Snow matches a description by Gayle, but it is dated ten years later, so it's not that. Gayle F's 1994 comment:
I've got a few copies of the "Kirk Enslaved" poster that I did years ago. A Pre-Reform number, Spock with long hair, Kirk collared, etc. They are embracing on a bed, not engaged in anything definite, but erectly explicit. Leopard watching in the background. I don't remember the exact dimension, 2" x 3", black and white, glossy paper. I did finally give permission for it to be reprinted in a zine, but I don't remember which one. [2]
This illo as described was not one of the ones in The Price and the Prize, as there are no leopards there.
