Kingsley/Andromeda is the het rarepair involving Kingsley Shacklebolt and Andromeda Tonks from the Harry Potter fandom.

Canon

Kingsley Shacklebolt and Andromeda Tonks do not have any notable interactions in canon. However, it is highly likely that they knew each other, since Andromeda and her husband Ted Tonks were allies of the Order of the Phoenix, and her daughter Nymphadora Tonks was an Auror and a member of the Order of the Phoenix with Kingsley.

Fandom

Given the dearth of canon information on either Kingsley Shacklebolt or Andromeda Tonks outside of post-publication interviews and JKR’s writings on Pottermore, fans of this rarepair enjoy a lot of creative freedom and flexibility. Andromeda and Kingsley are often assumed to be close in age and are portrayed in fanworks as having gone to Hogwarts around the same time, though usually in different houses. Kingdromeda is usually a side pairing. It is most often written as a post-canon development after the Second Wizarding War and Ted Tonks’s death. As such, fandom depictions often have elements of angst and emotional hurt/comfort, with Kingsley comforting Andromeda over her husband’s death and helping her move on. Kingsley may also help Andromeda raise her orphaned grandson, Teddy Lupin.
