In 1982, she was nominated for a FanQ award and submitted the following bio to The Annual Fan Q Awards Nominations Booklet:
"Kelly Hill...resides with her co-editor Jane Firmstone and was first exposed to fandom at SeKWester*Con I. She began writing fanfic and poetry shortly thereafter. FACETS is her first attempt at a zine of her own. She has written ST, SW, Doctor Who, and general Ford-related work, and also has an interest in Starsky & Hutch and Dracula. Her work has appeared or will appear in FACETS, WARPED SPACE, JELLY BABY CHRONICLES, GALACTIC FLIGHT, FALCON'S FLIGHT, TWIN SUNS, FESARIUS, SIDE-TREKKED, TIME WARP, SHOWCASE,PEGASUS, SYNDIZINE and DRACULA."
