About
For many years it was essentially a crackship, since the characters interacted very little in the first season and in extra-canon material like the stage play and drama CDs. However, following the release of season 2 in 2022, the ship saw a resurgence as Keith and Nathan were paired up in-show by the new Buddy System, and received a full episode focusing on their relationship.
While Keith/Nathan remains a rarepair relative to other ships that built up more of a fanbase over the many years since season 1, a significant number of fanworks have been posted in the time since the beginning of season 2. Several devoted fans who were creating fanworks pre-season 2 began to repost their old fanart and doujinshi in celebration, and as of May 2022, the works in the ship's AO3 tag had doubled, with 4 of the 9 works posted after the release of season 2.
Since Nathan's identity wasn't clearly established as nonbinary until the second Tiger & Bunny movie, all pre-2014 Keith/Nathan works on AO3 are tagged as M/M.
