Kathy Mar is well known for her filksong writing and singing, and has been active in filking since the early 80s. She was inducted into the Filk Hall of Fame in 1996, and is a seven time Pegasus Award winner.
She instigated The Dandelion Conspiracy, with fellow fan Lindy Sears, to raise awareness of the growing filk community, and their presence at conventions. [1][2]
