Kara Zor-El & Barbara Gordon have a long-running friendship in the canon of DC Comics. Their friendship somewhat parallels the famous friendship between Superman and Batman.
Canon
Mainline comics
Kara and Barbara have been friends since the Silver Age of Comics. In post-Crisis, Barbara delivered the eulogy at Kara's funeral.
As of the New 52, both characters have been deaged, with Barbara being college-aged and Kara being a high school student.
Gotham City Garage
In this universe, Kara Gordon was adopted by the Gordons, making her Barbara's younger sister.
DC Animated Universe
Supergirl and Batgirl team up to defeat the villainous trio of Livewire, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn, and the two reveal their secret identities to each other. Later, Clark mentions that the two are spending Christmas together.
DC Super Hero Girls
