Jonathan Byers/Steve Harrington. also known as Stonathan, is the slash pairing of Steve Harrington and Jonathan Byers in Stranger Things fandom.
Canon
During season 1, Jonathan and Steve have an antagonistic relationship because Steve believes that Jonathan was spying on Nancy, his girlfriend. In the season finale, Steve helps Jonathan and Nancy fight the Demogorgon. After, they appear to have reconciled their differences and were on good terms. During season 2, Nancy breaks up with Steve and begins a romantic relationship with Jonathan. The two rarely interact in seasons 3 and 4, as they are given separate plot lines and Jonathan continues to be in a relationship with Nancy.

With each passing season, the pairing has become less and less popular among Stranger Things fic writers, due to the breakout popularity of Harringrove and later Steve Harrington/Eddie Munson as slash pairings with Steve.
