Arashi (嵐) is a popular boyband under Johnny's Entertainment. As well as being singers, the members also star in variety shows, and act in various J-Dramas. Members include Satoshi Ohno, Sho Sakurai, Masaki Aiba, Kazunari Ninomiya, and Jun Matsumoto.
The Fandom
Arashi has an active RPF fandom. Alongside KAT-TUN and NEWS, they're one of the most popular JE groups in JE non-Japanese fandom. The fandom is largely slash focused, although there is a small het presence (for instance, Matsujun is sometimes paired with Inoue Mao, his co-star from Hana Yori Dango). [1]
The most popular pairings are Satoshi Ohno/Ninomiya Kazunari (nicknamed 'Ohmiya' by themselves), Sho Sakurai/Aiba Masaki (Sakuraiba) and, to a lesser extent, Ninomiya Kazunari/Matsumoto Jun (Matsumiya). [2] Other pairings are Aiba Masaki/Matsumoto Jun (Junba), Aiba Masaki/Ninomiya Kazunari (Aimiya or Ninoai), Aiba Masaki/Ohno Satoshi (Ohba), Matsumoto Jun/Ohno Satoshi (Juntoshi), Matsumoto Jun/Sakurai Sho (Sakumoto), Ninomiya Kazunari/Sakurai Sho (Sakumiya), and Sakurai Sho/Ohno Satoshi (Yama).
