Jodie Whittaker is an actress best known for her role as the Thirteenth Doctor in Doctor Who. She also had roles in Broadchurch, Black Mirror and the St Trinian's films.

• After the reveal at the Brit Awards 2022 that she was pregnant - which had her trending on Twitter - fans were quick to point out she's now actually got two hearts, like her character.
• At Gallifrey One 2022, Matt Strevens - one of the executive producers of the Chibnall era - revealed in a panel that it was Jodie who introduced the concept of Thasmin to him. Memes about her being a captain of the ship arose soon after as a result.

Controversy

Some reactionary Doctor Who fans had a negative response to Whittaker's casting as the Doctor, coining the hashtag #NotMyDoctor. The movement has a reputation for voicing reactionary rhetoric, and has been accused of promoting bigotry.
