Ikusaba x Maizono, most known as Ikuzono, is a popular pairing within Dangan Ronpa fandom. The ship is between Mukuro Ikusaba and Sayaka Maizono. While Ikusaba is a prominent character within the series, Maizono only played a major part in Dangan Ronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and its adaptations. It has been shipped since Trigger Happy Havoc was released in 2010.
For many years, this pairing was very rare. However, in the 2020s, it picked up steam and became one of the larger Yuri ships in Dangan Ronpa fandom as a whole, becoming a notably large part of Femslash February in 2022. This was due to many Danganronpa BNFs pimping the pairing with discussion and fanworks.
There's some ship war between Ikusaba x Maizono and Ikusaba x Naegi shippers, Ikusaba's larger and more senior ship. Unlike other very common DR pairings, Ikusaba x Maizono seems to not be shipped in Japanese-speaking DR fandom.

The most kudos'd fanwork on Archive of Our Own featuring only this pairing as its featured ship is Close Encounters of the Socially Inept by Kinkajou[1] as of January 2024. It was written for Femslash Exchange 2013 and was one of the first fics for the pairing written in English.
