I Summon You is a Steve Rogers/Tony Stark vid by kuwdora.

Summary: How'd we get here, it's too late to break it off. They're connected even before meeting each other.

Steve is Tony's inspiration on how to be a superhero! His crush! Future husband! The end.
idk if it's fanon or canon if Tony read Captain America comics when he was a kid, but I like it anyway, ergo, opening for the vid.
Also. I looove the shared Marvel 'verse, very fun to play with and pull out parallels and juxtapose things.
♥ superhusbands ♥
Is it May yet?[1]

This is an Avengers slash vid that came out more than half a year before the Avengers movie.

Comments

  • "The way you put this together built the tension until I could finally see them together near the end. It made me fall in love with each of the characters again. Visually it's stunning, and the music is inspired."[2]
  • "That was awesome! I so love your choice of song, and wow, the parallels between the two of them! I revel in vids that make me *think* about the characters and who they are, and this had that in spades. <333"[3]
  • "I love the fact that there is already (SUCH A VERY AWESOME) vid about them before the avengers is even out. and really, this is SO GOOD OMG. OH BOYS <2"[4]
  • "This is perfect. The song choice, the low-key where there could have been anvils. Everything about it just tickles my fancy. Something worth savoring in this video."[5]
  • "I haven't seen Captain America yet, but to my reading this is a really interesting statement on honest/nostalgic/WWII-era patrioism and heroism vs the more cynical form of patriotism Tony grows into over time, that starts out as being all show and grows into something almost kind of real over time. Fascinating stuff!"[6]
  • "You put a smile on my face with this vid. I think my favorite was the transition from Tony and the movie reels to Captain America Footage making it clear Tony is watching those, then the scenes with the showgirls, because, they both managed to have scenes with showgirls, and in the end the shield morphing into the arc reactor was awesome."[7]
  • "This whole vid is so, so gorgeous and clever, but I think my favorite part is the footage you chose for the first iteration of 'I summon you to appear my love'. Or maybe it's how you used the clips of both sets of showgirls. Or maybe how you matched up Steve's frozen shield with 'cold goodbye'. Or maybe it's everything that happens after that, and how well you matched Steve's introduction into the modern era with the lyrics. Okay, I guess the whole vid is my favorite part. *off to watch again*"[8]
