"I'll be in my bunk" is a phrase often given as feedback to a smut fanwork to indicate the reader/viewer appreciates the quality of the sex depicted in the fanwork. It indicates, in a semi-humorous way (given the humor of its origins) that the person leaving the feedback found the fanwork arousing.
The phrase originated from the 2002 television show Firefly; in one episode, the character Jayne's response to seeing the ship's Companion, Inara, about to have sex with a female client is "I'll be in my bunk."[1] Despite the origins of the phrase, it is not just given in response to Firefly fanworks but in other fandoms as well.
The line is also quoted outside of the context of fandom.[2]
