Why You Should Read This: Many fics out there deal with angst and love, but this is one of a handful of fics that actually gets it, and describes it absolutely perfectly. The characters aren’t just the result of letters on a page, but Steve and Danny, and the love that JeffreyAlan has written for them, climbs into your heart and takes up residence, giving you a warm, happy feeling that makes you feel good in your soul. But that’s just part of this fic. The bigger, most present part of this is told from the point of view of Danny’s little girl, Grace Williams. The fic is set somewhere between S05E24 and S05E25, where Grace learns just how much Steve and Danny mean to each other, and when Catherine shows up expecting a “fling” as part of her coming to Adam and Kono’s wedding, Grace lays her out with so many verbal punches, that it’s a miracle Catherine is still standing at the end of the work.
