Recs and Reviews
Iron Man is a supervillain. Tony works for SHIELD and has a thing for Steve. A fun read.[1]
Amazing, amazing. I love Tony's reasoning behind being a supervillain - it's so Tony, self-sacrificing and stupid and for the greater good all at once - and how quick Steve is to get an inkling. They're made for each other, here.[2]
Tony being a supervillain is one of my favorite tropes ever, but I love the twist you've given it that he is being a supervillain for the good of the world, because it's too true that superheroes just seem to breed supervillains. I also love how smart Steve was in this.[4]
Wonderful idea, wonderful execution - I was full of glee the entire read. I love how Steve is crafty, and observant and smart in this. And Tony's reasoning for villainy totally makes sense (I mean, all the bad stuff that happened in Iron Man 2 happened because the villains were out to get Tony...). I feel like Tony, in the movies, really burdens himself with responsibility and accountability, so I'm glad that despite being a villain in this fic, that still shined through. Argh. I love how they're a superhero-villain couple now. That is so cute.[5]
