This was a nice little two page story, by an author who also writes poetry. This story is a bit unusual in that it incorporates several poems, and the POV of the poems is different than the POV of the story. It starts off with a four line poem, then the story is told from Kirk’s POV, but there are three poems that are from Spock’s POV and reveal his feelings about Kirk and their relationship. The story follows the progression of their relationship from the time they first meet, until the time they are about to declare their love for each other. A very brief three line poem ends the story, and tells us all will be well with them. This was short but sweet! [1]
"Hopes and Wishes" is a two page story, in my opinion, it's just too short. It is interesting though that Spock's thoughts are put into poetry. I think this might have made an excellent longer story.[2]
