Descriptions
From a July 1993 ad in GAZ:
Psst! Wanna look at some HOT pictures? Want a HOT story to go with them? Then this zine is for you! The sequel to Jeannie Marie's THE PIRATE AND THE GENTLEMAN, this extravaganza is chock-full of romance, adventure, and LUST! If you loved the story of Richard, the dashing pirate and his noble slave. Sir Andrew, the first time, you'll love HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS! The HOT illos are by Cyn.
From the editorial:
I was so taken by the dashing, incredibly sexy Blake Jack and the pretty Sir Frances that I just had to write a story drawing on that universe, only I decided not to use the Simon's ancestors, but Rick and AJ themselves. Eventually these characters are Rick and AJ, but there are necessary differences. The world of Richard and Andrew is far different from the one of Rick and AJ, and that reflects in their personalities. It also gave me a chance to go in new directions, and what fun it was!
I tried to be as historically accurate as possible in both novels. For instance, the word "champagne" was in use before the 1690's. I also tried for a "feel" of the time and hope I succeeded.
Despite many changes in Rick and AJ, their love is always the same, no matter what the universe they are in.
If Pirate and the Gentleman and "Home is Where the Heart Is" pleases you, then you will probably like "The Season of Revenge," the next set of adventures in this universe.
