Harry Dresden/John Marcone is a very popular enemyslash pairing in The Dresden Files fandom.

Fans of this pairing insist that most of the (not very frequent) interactions between Harry and Marcone in canon show strong UST between the characters. While Harry initially despises Marcone, constantly refers to him as "criminal scum", loves to destroy his property, and only reluctantly admits that he might be human (figuratively), Marcone has detailed plans on how to kill Harry should it become necessary and only agrees for help in return for large favors. However, both have a healthy respect for each other's abilities and like to annoy tease each other.

Popular Tropes

Many fics have Harry oblivious and/or denying his feelings for Marcone and Marcone either pining for him or actively courting him. The fact that Marcone is a criminal is often (mostly) ignored.

Female!Harry frequently results in this pairing.

A somewhat popular trope is Harry finally agreeing to work for Marcone, which leads to romance. Other fics see Harry turn to Marcone (instead of Mab and/or Lea) for protection and help.
