Mary Urhausen was a Star Wars fiction and non-fiction writer. She passed away at age 70 on November 20, 2018.[1]
"Mary and I got to be friends through our shared love of Star Wars 40 years ago. Since then, we met at science fiction conventions and wrote long letters to each other about everything imaginable. It is hard to put into words what her friendship meant to me. The thought that I will never hear her voice again or get another letter is very hard. I regret we lived so far apart, but I am grateful to [those who contacted] me so that Mary's death did not come as a complete shock. I expect she is in heaven, surrounded by the animals she loved.[2]
