HP_Rarepairs was a Harry Potter Yahoo! Groups mailing list for rare pairings.
As of March 2005, the group had 579 members and 488 messages posted to the list,[1] with the most activity occurring in June 2003 (coinciding with the publication of Order of the Phoenix). It had open membership and was unmoderated.
It hosted the Harry Potter Rare Pairs Fuh-Q Fest.
The group description stated:
This list is for those HP fanfiction fans who are tired of mainstream pairings like Harry/Draco, Harry/Ron, Sirius/Remus, ect. and want to read and write fics about rare pairings, such as Remus/Ron, Seamus/Neville, ect. Both slash and het pairings are welcome, as are G to NC-17 fics. Come and join others in the discussion, reading, and writing of fanfiction about Harry Potter rare pairs.
