Goldenlake was started up around the same time that Steelsings closed, and also drew back some ex-members of The Dancing Dove who had previously drifted out of the fandom. It's a message board/forum with a strong fanfiction section, which was partly prompted by Fanfiction.net changing their policy on the grouping of Tamora Pierce books without consulting the fans. It has a quarterly e-zine newsletter, Giantkiller.
