Very cute short, short story with Kirk and Spock taking shore leave on Argellius and engaging in some adorable, sexy food-eating games that lead to... well, you know.

Playful and fun. I like to see these two like this. Poor Spock wanting 'more' from his captain/lover and not able to get it. Carving more intimacy and left hanging. He even talks to McCoy about the problem.

A tacky hotel room and a seductive Vulcan, what more could Kirk want? And the phrase "both miscalculated and the end came up unexpectedly" mad me laugh, and it worked in the story. I thought the sex scene was perfect for the story. It was rushed in the telling, but very much in keeping with the lightness of the rest of the prose.

One thing that threw me a bit. The reference to eating candy when I had seen 'fruit' earlier confused me. I went back and found the word 'glazed' so it was a sweet, but I had to go look (logically, this could simply mean I like my sugar more straight forward than Spock).

And the best part, Spock playing the game back on Kirk, giving him just a taste of his own medicine. Good work.

1998

This is one of two shore-leave-in-a-cabin stories. This cabin, though, is more upscale. Spock has to convince them he doesn’t want all the “room service”. It’s a pleasant enough PWP. Very short — needed more development.

1999

Technically, I guess you could say this amusing and entertaining story is not a "first time" because the pair have recently become lovers when the story opens. But in terms of the story's particular focus, it is a “first time.” Read it and see.

The story stands the stereotype of the ever-priapic Captain and the virginal Vulcan on its head. It focuses on Spock's frustration when Kirk, worn out by a hard day's work running a starship (now there's a twist!), falls asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow. Even leave on Argelius doesn't immediately solve the problem. It seems Kirk also likes to read.... Finally Spock has to take matters into his own hands and begin the "games" of the title.

How often have we heard one of the ST characters say to Spock, "What's gotten into you?" This story contains the funniest response to that question I've seen in fan fic.

2008

If you‘re looking for an involved plot, you won‘t find it here. But if you‘re in the mood to spend a few minutes with Kirk and Spock, watching them play, you‘re in luck. We come into the picture after their relationship has started but before they‘ve gone ―all the way‖ as we used to say. There isn‘t a lot to this short story, just a very pleasant two-way seduction. Certainly enough to whet your K/S appetite!
